Prior to working in publishing, Mara earned a bachelor’s degree at Georgetown University and a PhD and Pitt Public Health, and was a professor researching US health care policy. Mara believes stories make us who we are and that everyone deserves a chance to write their own. She is actively seeking to represent authors from communities traditionally underrepresented in publishing, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and disabled and/or chronically ill writers. In her free time, she writes fantasy novels, watches a shocking amount of figure skating, roots for the Washington Nationals and Georgetown Hoyas, and daydreams about petting dogs.

Ameerah Holliday is a literary agent with the Serendipity Literary Agency. She is a dancer and self-proclaimed poetess from San Diego, California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from San Diego State University. Carrie Howland is a literary agent with and the founder of Howland Literary. She founded Howland Literary, LLC in 2018, after thirteen years as an agent, most recently at Empire Literary.
