Wolgemuth & Associates was birthed on March 2, 1992 when Robert Wolgemuth and Michael Hyatt hung a shingle as literary agents. Entrepreneurial veterans of the book publishing business, Robert recalls that, “Having the chance to share and shape the dreams of gifted authors and then work alongside their publishers as an ally was a thrill.” It remains the same for the W&A team to this day.
In 1998, Michael returned to a management and leadership role inside a publishing house, and in the Fall of 2005, Erik and Andrew joined Robert at the agency. Austin joined in May 2011, and this core team has now worked together for nearly a decade.
With significant changes in the retail marketplace generally and the publishing world specifically during these years, they relish staying on the edge of their seats on behalf of their clients and their readers. They believe in and are driven by the stewardship of the ideas, words, and movements placed on the hearts and minds of the individuals and organizations they have the joy and privilege of working with.
