Renaissance Literary & Talent is one of the most respected boutique agencies in Hollywood. We are a full service literary firm known for supplying material to New York publishers and the Hollywood film and television community. Our clients have won major recognition, from the Pulitzer, Emmy and Academy Award.

Owner and founder Alan Nevins began his career working for famed Hollywood agent Irving “Swifty” Lazar. In 1993, Alan co founded Renaissance with two other Hollywood agents. It acquired the backlists of the Lazar Agency and the H.N. Swanson Agency, thus giving Renaissance the enviable legacy of two of Hollywood’s top literary agents. In 2000, Renaissance entered into an affiliation with Michael Ovitz’s Artist Management Group and soon thereafter, completed one of the largest deals in publishing history, a $42 million, four book deal for author Tim LaHaye.

Today, Renaissance helps authors from all over the world share their stories. We represent fiction, nonfiction, and illustrated books. We also represent an extensive estate list of iconic Hollywood talent, from George Axelrod (Seven Year Itch), Eliza Kazan, Arthur Rubinstein and Cornell Woolrich (Rear Window). As a full service firm, we provide services including literary, foreign rights, brand sponsorships and merchandising. We also offer book to film services and have developed and produced film/TV properties with major studios and networks, such as the motion picture What to Expect When You’re Expecting, starring Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez.

Our unique position as an independent firm in Hollywood allows us to provide literary services to clients who may already have other talent managers and agency representation.
