Vicky Bijur
Biography
Vicky Bijur is a literary agent with the Vicky Bijur Literary Agency. She represents fiction and non-fiction, including memoir, biography, cookbooks, food writing, journalism, health/wellness, and graphic non-fiction. She has served as president of the AAR (Association of Authors’ Representatives, now known as the Association of American Literary Agents) and as chair of its Ethics Committee. Many of the books she represents have been on the NY Times bestseller list and have been NY Times Notable Books of the Year, and several have been turned into feature films. Her clients have been the recipients of the Knight Fellowship in Science Journalism, Edgar Awards, the Hammett Prize, James Beard Awards, the Sidney Hillman Award for Book Journalism, the Mary Higgins Clark Award, and the Inkpot Award for Excellence in Cartooning.
Books that have been filmed include Still Alice with Julianne Moore; Drive with Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan; The Man Who Knew Infinity with Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons; Every Secret Thing with Dakota Fanning, Elizabeth Banks, Diane Lane; the forthcoming Lady in the Lake with Natalie Portman and Moses Ingraham.
