Biography
Susan Ginsburg is a literary agent with Writers House Literary Agency. Susan says: “IÕve been in the business for over 35 years, and with Writers House for 25. I got my start on the editorial side, as editor-in-chief of St. MartinÕs and Atheneum Books and Executive Editor of Pocket Books at Simon & Schuster, where I had the fortune to publish such wonderful writers as Alice Walker (THE COLOR PURPLE) and John Irving (THE WORLD ACCORDING TO GARP). My agenting career has spanned both fiction and non-fiction, and I continue to work closely with all my authors editorially. I am currently looking for commercial and literary fictionÑparticularly voice-driven narratives in unique settings filled with emotionally compelling charactersÑas well as rich, big idea narrative non-fiction, and unique memoirs.I am not the right agent for horror, science-fiction, or epic fantasy.”
