Robert Wilson
Biography
Robert Wilson is a literary agent with Wilson Media. Robert founded Wilson Media in 2001 following pursuits as a professional baseball player, political reporter, music critic, travel writer, magazine editor, book editor, editorial director, and author. He played professional baseball in the New York Yankees organization for three seasons. He led the Appalachian League in home runs and runs batted in and was named to the Topps All-Star Rookie Team in his first professional year. He is the author with Ed O’Brien of Sinatra 101, published by Penguin’s Boulevard Books, and the editor of several books, including The Consumer Sourcebook, published by Gale Research Company. As a freelance writer, his articles have appeared in publications in the U.S. and abroad.
As a senior editor for nearly eight years at HarperCollins Publishers, he acquired a number of bestselling books. His authors included Gary Null, Rick Edelman, Pat Summerall, Bill Rodgers, Hale Irwin, and Nancy Dunnan, in addition to a number of institutional authors ranging from Major League Baseball and the National Football League to Men’s Fitness Magazine and the American Dietetic Association. After leaving HarperCollins, he served as editorial director at Total Sports Publishing before founding Wilson Media.
