Rachel Ekstrom Courage
Biography
Rachel Ekstrom Courage is a literary agent at Folio Literary Management. She is also an author.
Before becoming a literary agent, Rachel spent over a decade as a NYC-based book publicist, first working on mysteries and thrillers for Minotaur in the historic Flatiron building, then assuming a directorial role for Penguin’s Dutton and Gotham imprints, and finally working on blockbuster commercial fiction (both Adult and YA) for St. Martin’s Press.
Over the course of her career as a publicist, she developed relationships with local and national media, securing reviews, features, radio and television interviews, online placement, bookstore and “outside the box” author events, in outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Today Show, CBS This Morning, NPR, C-SPAN, Fox Business, People, Entertainment Weekly, O Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, The Huffington Post, CNN, The Associated Press, Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Post, The Economist, The New Republic, Salon, Playboy, Time, and Wired.
