Marufa Hoque is a literary agent with and the founder of Cresent Literary. She is the founder of Crescent Literary and a graduate of UCLA Extension’s Literary Representation program. As a former teacher at a Muslim girls’ private school where her students were primarily immigrants or children of immigrants, she is dedicated to uplifting voices in publishing.Marufa has a BA in Geography and a minor in English as books have always been her passion. Her favorite genres are science-fiction and fantasy (if it has a dragon and/or mentions space, she’s all ears!). She currently resides in NYC working on her next novel.
