Erica Rand Silverman is a literary agent with Stimola Literary Studio. Erica has always been committed to the social and emotional wellbeing of children. In the early 2000’s she was a teacher and dean in a NYC public school while finishing a masters in Theater and consulting for the much needed Inner Resilience Program.

It is through this unique lens that she approaches her work as a literary agent as well as producer and host of the studio’s Stimola Live YouTube channel.

In her 15+ years in publishing, Erica has worked with some of the most exciting new talent and treasured mainstays in the industry as well as the estates of our favorite classics. Today, she represents a highly selective list of authors and illustrators and is known for building a shelf of exceptional illustrated books for children that combine kid appeal with deep respect for the book as object. She is a tireless advocate for her clients and proud to be a part of an industry that is so thoughtfully shaping young hearts and minds.

Each year, Erica will accept a limited number of appearance requests from literary conferences and educational programs. Currently, she has committed to The Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators Critique Event at the 2023 Bologna Book Fair and a series of speaking engagements throughout the semester at MICA in their 2023 Advanced Book Illustration course.
