Elaine Rogers
Biography
Elaine Rogers is a literary agent with Kneerim & Williams Literary. She returned to her roots and joined Kneerim & Williams as an agent in April 2018. She represents authors with a specialization in the placement of film and television rights. In her nearly two decades at the Kneerim & Williams Agency, Elaine was involved with such films and television projects as Thirteen Days starring Kevin Costner; Broken Tower based on the book “The Life of Hart Crane” by Paul Mariani starring, directed and written by Oscar nominated James Franco; Snitch starring Dwayne Johnson (The Rock); Two Came Back, starring Melissa John Hart, aired on ABC television; A Change of Heart aired on Lifetime television starring Jane Seymour; and feature documentary Playground directed by Libby Spears and executive produced by George Clooney’s Smokehouse Productions.
As a lawyer and partner in Sennott, Williams & Rogers, Elaine counsels clients in all aspects of the entertainment, sports and new media industries, including publishing, branded entertainment, licensing, promotion, advertising, interactive media, theater, motion pictures and television. She represents authors, publishers, actors, writers, production, media and sports companies, directors and financiers as well as professional athletes and broadcasters. She regularly represents sports figures in endorsement, licensing, media and entertainment transactions. Elaine has served as counsel on numerous studio-based and independent films. She regularly advises clients in all aspects of the film and television process from acquisition of rights to production and distribution. Elaine is a filmmaker herself, having produced feature films and television movies.
Before joining Sennott, Williams & Rogers, LLP, Elaine was a partner and co-chair of the Entertainment and Sports Group at the New York-based firm Meister Seelig & Fein. Elaine has been listed in The National Registry of America’s Who’s Who and has graced the cover as one of Boston Magazine’s “The Best Lawyers” in entertainment law. She was featured in Boston Magazine as one of Massachusetts’ “Super Lawyers” and in ABA Women in Communications Law’s “Women to Watch.”
