Bethany Saltman is a literary agent at Wave Literary. She has devoted her life to guiding writers in crafting books and literary careers that change livesÑtheir own and their readers.Õ As the founder of BOOKISH, a boutique book-development agency and co-host of the podcast BOOKBOUND, she has shepherded dozens of aspiring authors through the process of finding their unique authority and writing exceptional book proposals and bestselling books. Bethany is also a widely published poet who received an MFA from Brooklyn College where she worked with Allen Ginsberg; a popular essayist; and the author of the critically acclaimed book, Strange Situation: A MotherÕs Journey Into the Science of Attachment (2020, Random House). Strange Situation was named one of the Top Science Books of 2020 by New Scientist, published in five countries, and is included in psychology syllabi around the world. Bethany splits her time between the Catskills of New York and the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She is a longtime Zen practitioner, as well as a Brown-University certified leadership coach.
