Biography
Amy Hughes is a literary agent with and the founder of the Amy Hughes Agency. She has worked in publishing for over two decades, beginning her career as a publicist at Simon & Schuster and an editor at Penguin before finding her niche as an agent, first at McCormick & Williams Agency and then at Dunow, Carlson & Lerner Literary Agency. She is interested in books that explore new perspectives on history and culture, inspire better living, and spark movements. Nonfiction areas include history, psychology, parenting, memoir, current events, wellness, cooking, personal growth, lifestyle, spirituality, and the environment. She grew up in Tennessee and is a graduate of Sewanee, The University of the South.
