Biography
Alec Yoshio Macdonald is a literary agent at Straus Literary. He joined Straus Literary in 2018, having previously worked at the League of Women Voters of the Bay Area and Browne & Miller Literary Associates in Chicago. He has extensive experience editing and contributing to alternative weekly newspapers and other journalistic outlets. He holds a B.A. in English from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.A. in humanities from the University of Chicago, where he wrote his thesis on John OkadaÕs No-No Boy.
